During the half-term holidays 4th-8th June 2012. An artist called Jane Ward-Heys has been commissioned to provide Art and Craft Workshops to help us prepare for the Olympic Torch coming to Rawtenstall on the 23rd June. The workshops include making hats, bunting, decorations, medals, displays and much more.
On the 23rd June at the Old Fire Station the Young People's Service is holding a Community Fun Day from 11am to 4pm to celebrate the Olympic Torch Relay passing through the centre of Rawtenstall.
Saturday April 21 saw over 70 young people take part in a massive 'Olympic Dance Showcase Event' which marked the finish of a project they have been taking part in over the last 12 weeks.
Lancaster Tennis Club in Lune Road launched its new tennis season with a very successful and enjoyable Open Day on Saturday March 31st. The next Open Day, as part of the Lancaster City Council Open Week, is scheduled for Saturday April 28th from 11.30am to 2pm.
